早在《The Last Of Us Part II》（中譯：最後的生還者2）推出時，頑皮狗就表示未來將推出《The Last Of Us Part II》的多人模式，不過之後消息甚少。現在知名爆料人士TomHenderson表示《The Last Of Us Part II》的多人模式將會在2022年下半年推出。

TomHenderson表示從自己的多個消息來源那聽說，《The Last Of Us Part II》多人模式將會和《The Last Of Us Part》重製版一起發布，預計將在2022年第三、四季度推出，目的是為了聯動《The Last Of Us Part》真人電視劇上映，已達到最佳的宣傳目的。
